Really enjoyed this course. Unlike many others which feel squashed alongside the motorway this was a more open and interesting course looping inland around a series of hills.
Much wider than many local courses but still with ravines and significant slopes some of which can be used for advantage. Definately a big hitters course - a 200m par 3!
First impressions are good - a large well stocked club house with bar above overlooking extensive practise facilities including a golf academy. The driving range backs onto the first tee so easy to warm up and then go straight out.
Highlights - 7th and 8th, feels like you are hitting into a mountain and then fantastic views over the sea with a long par 5 down a valley. 11th again takes you to a green on top of a hill. Incredibly exposed with the wind being a significant influence.
Down sides. The tees for 1st and 10th are next to each other, and along side are the 9th and 18th. This makes for a very conjested area with balls flying everywhere. The 18th and the couple of holes before look like they were remodeled and it is almost impossible not to encroach on the 10th fairway.
