Played in 2000 and loved it and just went back two weeks ago. I loved it even more. Not sure why this place doesn't get more press but it's really a fun track. Not as punishing as some, but still plenty of challenge - especially when the wind is up. I've played all of the St. Andrews courses and this holds its own with any of them.

G'day, I played Eden on the 6th of July '04. It was well worth the trip from Adelaide, Aust. The whole experience of playing at St Andrews is something that can only be described as overwhelming. The first few holes are alongside the Old course, so you are slightly distracted in the sense that you are always looking over there. The course itself is pretty tricky, the rough is extreamly thick [ I lost 5 balls} and the bunkers vary from 3 to 5 foot deep. Single players are welcome, all you have to do is approach a 2 or 3 ball group and ask to join. I joined an old couple who were both members at St.Andrews and they made feel most welcome. Good luck on your round, make sure you take plenty of balls. If you hire the clubs you get the tees for free. P.S. Try to contain yourself in the pro shop as it's easy to get carried away and just but anything with a "Links" logo on it.

Well, I almost hesitate to enter this. It's like telling others about your favorite fishing hole. The truth is the Eden course is a wonderful golf experience. Not punative, but fair. Not easy, but good shots are rewarded and bad shots punished. Proof you don't have to pay a lot of money to enjoy links golf.

On the first 18 of 36 (New Course being the 2nd) we played Eden. I had my best round of 11 we played on 9 courses. The challenge is there, but if you hit it straight you can score on Eden. The greens putt very true. Don't overlook Eden and the New Course. . . they are great links courses!

A ton of fun. Pure links all the way without the intimidating length of some of the others. This is a great course to include in a day with 36 holes and would be a great way to kick off a trip. It makes you play all of the links shots but is not quite as penal as the others. However, it is an excellent test of your game.
