Dalmuir is certainly never dull. Much more challenging than the 5000-odd yards would suggest, much of the course features shots you would never be asked to play on any other course.
The course was in generally good condition (apart from the tees - always an issue on municipal courses in my experience) despite very heavy rain and the greens a credit to the staff. Given that we're now in a very wet November they were in very good condition, a bit bumpy as they had been scarified though not hollow-cored. They were impossibly slow however due to the wet.
The key to this course is to score on the relatively easy short par 4s (1,5,6,7,9,10) as birdie chances will be scarce on the others.
There are a number of stand-out memorable holes, some very difficult and at times bordering on the unfair.
All in all a fun course where if you play to your handicap you can give yourself a big pat on the back. Maybe a bit too weird to play regularly though.

I had the pleasure to play golf with the Radnor Park Golf Club, who have an 08:30 to 09:45 tee off time on a Sunday and i must say you couldnt have met a more accomodating and friendly bunch. The course itself was very testing and tiresome but was a joy to play, and i would agree with previous comments saying that this must be the best municipal course in Britan. The greens were in very good condition and the fairways were generous, ie not to many problems should you miss the fairways. Cant wait to visit again and will definetely meet up with my new found friends at the Radnor.

I have just recently played the course and found it to be a testing and physically demanding course , (physically not for the faint hearted ). This must be the best municipal course in Scotland . I must commend the green keepers on the condition of the course .I live locally but have not played the course for years but I will be more often .Once again well done to the course staff.

A great course to play and a great challenge for all amateur golfers. Real 'character' holes throughout the course with a few 'cardbusters' ready to pounce on the overconfident!!!!
Brilliant club i.e. CLYDEVIEW
