Location/Description:
Located on B923 off A921 scenic Fife Coastal Tourist Route in historic town of Burntisland, one mile from town centre.
The course is 45 minutes drive from Edinburgh International Airport and 60 minutes drive from St Andrews and Gleneagles; 90 minutes from Carnoustie and Glasgow International Airport, 2hours 30 minutes from Troon and Turnberry. Leave the Motorway M90 heading north/south at Admiralty Junction 1 off/before Forth Road Bridge and head for 10 miles East on A921 via Dalgety Bay and Aberdour. There are plenty local hotels and guest houses in the Kingdom of Fife-see also www.fifegolf.com. Dodhead, a mainly flat parkland course on the coastal fringe,with some hills, some blind holes and links type greens,was designed by Willie Park Jnr of Musselburgh fame, twice Open Champion (he also designed Sunningdale), after a survey of the ground by the legendary Old Tom Morris
Green Fees:
Member of Scottish Golf Union, Scottish Ladies Golf Union and Fife GA.BGHC is a VisitScotland accredited "Welcome Golfer" course.
GREEN FEES for 2008 are: Weekdays: £25 round, £35 Day
Weekends £30 round £42 Day
Visitors welcome all year but NOT before 2.30pm on SATURDAYS

Catering:
Bar service from 1100-2300 summer and 1100-1500 winter. (Nov-March)
Catering in summer until 7pm and 2pm on winter weekdays and 5pm weekends.(last orders.) No winter catering on Mondays and Tuesdays. Weekend High Tea a speciality.Bar snacks are served in Lounge and meals in Dining Room (60 covers).
The Dress Code is Smart/Casual on the course and in the clubhouse- also tailored shorts in the summer may be worn.No jeans, football colours, track suits,shell suits, sleeveless vests or beachwear.
Only Metal/Soft spike golf shoes are acceptable -no trainers allowed.
Visitors:
Visitors,small groups/parties, societies and company days are welcome all year round, but NOT before 2.30pm on Saturdays in summer.Our Professional and the Clubmaster will be pleased to customise your day.Juniors Under18 very welcome for £6 fee.Visitors' changing room and showers are available.All visitors MUST CHECK IN at the Pro Shop for confirmation/ticket 15 minutes before tee off.

We ask that everyone observes the etiquette of the game and particularly AVOIDS SLOW PLAY- the curse of golf today! It can cause aggro and frustration!A round at Burntisland should only take you 3 hours 30 minutes, 4 hours maximum.We have 2 buggies that can be pre-booked with the Professional Tel:01592 872116
Societies:
Advance bookings for parties,groups and societies-gentlemen, ladies, seniors etc are now being taken for 2008.ALL are very welcome.Accounts may be settled by credit card or Switch. Maximum number is 24 at weekends but up to 60 midweek.
Corporate membership at Gold, Silver and Bronze levels is also available to local/national companies and the Armed Forces. Country membership (outside 40 miles radius of club) available at £220 per annum
