WOW.....Played this course 3 times in mid September, what a pleasure. Superb scenery on every hole, challenging particularly the first time when you don't know where you are going as many of the holes are blind from the tee. Excellent greens and fairways. Take time to look around at the work that went in to building this course the rock walls that make up the tee boxes, a causeway that links the island to the mainland evrything is superbly done. Out of the way and hard to find but persevere you will not be disappointed. Hope to return again one day.

I visited Connemara Isles last year and it was a delightful experience. It is a challenging course and the members and staff are pleasant and friendly. The greens are excellent and the experience of playing on another island was excellent. There are beautiful views and the scenery combining the mountains and the Atlantic Ocean are breath-taking. I would recommend this course with high regard in all areas.

I played Connemara Isles Golf Club, 'Golf Mara' as the locals call it on 17 May, 2002: a delight for this high handicapper Senior Citizen from the USA. I like it better than some more expensive, big name courses: a 'Links' layout island course with a smaller island that brings water into play on holes 3, 4 and 5, then again on number 9. You may never be happy playing your home course again after you've played a round on Golf Mara. I think it is one of the best golf values in Ireland. I will return to Ireland again in September just to play Golf Mara.
