Breathtaking and Awesome!
What an experience! Its going to make all my local courses seem so dull in comparison.
From the 1st tee to the 18th Green, you could only marvel at the way this course is set out, the surroundings, the quality of the tees, fairway, greens and the amazing houses round it. Every hole is a joy to play and hey, if you play a bad shot who cares; you are as close to Golf Utopia as you can get. Greens ARE fast but they are FAIR too.
If you go to play Golf in this area of France, you MUST play this course, will come off thinking you have enjoyed every minute and it would have been worth every Euro!. Go play it. Play somewhere equivalent here and you will not get a penny change out of £100!

Played this course in April '08. We played on a Saturday and all the tee times had been pre booked so considering the wear that this course must get it was in absolutely great condition. Not a mark on the greens and wonderful fairways. We couldn't fault it.
As others have said, positional play is imperative as is a course planner. I would love to play Les Pins again so that I can learn from my clubbing mistakes.
It is quite a difficult course where par is a bonus, even on the par 3s.
Clubhouse catering seems to be of the expensive dinner or nothing variety. No snacks or things like that.
Most of the other players were english societies and several players reported 5 hour rounds on the courses in this area due to societies making their numbers up with non players who not only hack their way round but who are also unfamiliar with the courtesies of the game. Fortunately both Hardelot courses seem to be well marshalled in an effort to keep everyone moving.

Played Les Pins in September 07, and what a course! Toss up between this and Belle Dune as which is the best course in the area, but I would narrowly vote for this. Carved out of a forest and with amazing twists and turns utilising the elevation of the land. The 18th with a sharp dog leg right down a steep incline to a green guarded by forest one side and a lake the other is a great example of a tough par 5 that asks questions of positional play rather than brute strength. This is an old fashioned course that requires intelligent course management rather than a 300 yard drive. Thoroughly enjoyable for all who appreciate quality course design, this is as good as Woburn and a lot cheaper. I wish this was my local course!

Great golf course and set up. Shame about the slow play due to large numbers of society members that come over from the UK. The greens and fairways were in good condition. I've played both Les Dunes and Les Pins, and the latter is easier on the legs. I preferred Les Pins, but would recommend both. If your looking for a cheaper round, you should head down towards Belle Dune.

This was superb course.
A very different round to Les Dunes (easier on the legs!!)I played both courses on the same day and found each a pleasure to play. A great layout with the holes giving different challenges each time. Some of the par 4 were quite short but this made positioning your drive all important.
Overall i would rate this course as better that Les Dunes but wouldnt hesitate to play both again.

I've played Les Pins twice now and on both occasions have found it to be a highly impressive course.
Apart, from a couple of relatively open holes on the back hole the fairways are completely tree-lined (as the name would suggest!), not too tight but still challenging. The course has elevations but probably not as many as Les Dunes, however, the overall layout is extremely well designed. Condition is excellent throughout.
There aren't any particular 'signature' holes but what you get are a series of interesting and demanding challenges. In my opinion Les Pins is definitely superior to Les Dunes and second only to Belle Dune in the area. Highly recommended.
