Got a late invitation to play and have to admit I hadn't heard of this course before.
I am not a fan of 9 hole courses - until now.
Very demanding course and in surperb condition and tee positions made some of the holes very different when played second time around.
Would recommend this course to anyone visiting this area. A hidden gem? most definately!

Having been a member of this club for ten years, I can confirm that this is a golfing jewel of a venue. When you think of golf in Southport, nobody mentions our club in the same breath as Hillside, Birkdale etc. This is an extremely tough but enjoyable nine hole course, off both the yellow and white tees.
A few years ago Golf Monthly printed a piece about our Club and said that it was one of nicest and toughest nine hole courses in England!
