Played at beginning of May in good weather. Like other courses, the growing season is late this year and therefore there was plenty of grass on the fariways and greens which were slow, but true. With 37 points off the whites off a handicap of 10 then I thought the course was OK. Staff very friendly abd would be happy to return.

myself and 2 others played at Foxton Hall on 14th November and considering the time of year the course was in excellent condition!
its a very scenic course with beautiful views of the north sea coast line and at times when you look around you could be playing in the scottish borders.
the course itself is fairly standard in length but it does have some very long par 4s which can be quite difficult to hit in regulation for the shorter hitter. my favourite hole was possibly the 3rd or 5th but most of the holes have there own distinctive personality.
all the staff were exceptionaly polite and friendly and the meal we had after in the clubhouse was excellent value and very tasty!
i will defo be returning in the summer to play Foxton again, and if your looking for a well priced game of golf during the winter months i would highly recommend alnmouth.
smashing course with good clubhouse facilities!

Played here on 14 Nov 2007. Great course, with some long par 4's which could be quite tricky for a high handicapper. We played in perfect conditions with no wind whatsoever. The greens had bee hollow tyned a few weeks back but were true when putting on. Some great views, friendly staff and good value golf, a must play if down the coast, am definetaly going back in the summer.
Well don Foxton, keep up the good work

Twelve of us played this course last week as part of our annual tour in Northumbria. It was in fabulous condition and the greenkeeping staff should be congratulated. Our scoring was pretty low but as it was blowing a gale force wind that was not surprising. It was by far the best couse we played. The others being Bamburgh Castle and Berwick-upon-Teed (Goswick). They were very good but not as good as Alnmouth.
Go there and try it. You will not be disappointed.

Played this course for third time at end of April. The course was in superb condition with great true greens and smooth fairways. It was blowing a gale and thus very difficult. Superb views on a couple of the holes. New caterer really friendly. Nice showers. Highly recommended.

I have spent the last twelve years with five other golfers playing classic courses in each county of England Northumberland being the 12th.
We play six courses during the month of May Alnmouth being one of them, we found the course in tremedous condition the greens were fast and true, everything about the club and course was proffesional. The welcome and service we recieved was warm and courtious, it is a course not to be missed.
